der anfang

I have been inspired to start bloging about the more interesting aspects of my life and the various thoughts or feelings that happen to pop up.  I have failed at this in the past, but I am getting ready to embark on a year long journey in a foreign country and can foresee that answering the question, "How are you doing?" or "What is it like?" could be quite daunting.  Ok, I am going to go back to paying attention to my linguistics 454 lecture now.
